Built in 1891, this charming home was once the stationmaster’s cottage at nearby Shelbourne Station, before being relocated to Maldon after that station was decommissioned. Now, it is nestled next door to the historic Maldon Steam Railway Station, with unrivalled views of the Victorian Goldfields Railway’s (VGR) twice-weekly tourist service and vast bushland.
The cottage retains many of its original features, including a cosy fireplace and three generous bedrooms with bedding for six guests. A fully-renovated bathroom, wifi, smart TV and air-conditioning have been added for 21st century comfort. There is parking for two cars onsite and a securely fenced backyard so that dogs can also enjoy a break.
Oh and let's not forget the 1940's French Zinc Bathtub in the garden with hot water.
It’s a gentle ten-minute walk to the main street of Maldon, where local cafes, boutiques, galleries, and pubs are waiting to be explored.
1 Bathroom with walk in Shower and Toilet. We have just completed a second toilet outide when enjoying the outdoors too!
