Nestled between a private ironbark eucalyptus forest and farmland, the `Ironbark’ property provides seasonal habitat for native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas as well as a wide variety of birdlife. The uniquely situated ‘Ironbark’ accommodation is only a 2 minute drive or a leisurely 15 minute walk to the historic gold mining township of Maldon. Ironbark is also within easy walking distance of state forest providing trails for bike riding and walking.
Ironbark offers peaceful views and is bathed with natural light from the floor to ceiling glass doors and windows to the north, and the huge picture windows to the east and west. Ironbark affords complete privacy and the feeling that you are immersed in this natural setting.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
Deposit of 50% non refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the client's acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.
Cancellation if caused by the client, money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If it a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 cancellation fee will apply.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 11 am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.
Disturbance to neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
Smoking within the cottage and external buildings is not permitted.
Pets not permitted
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.

Stunning surrounds
Ironbark Maldon is a beautiful property made for enjoying the outdoors. It was a comfortable stay for my group of 4 and we especially enjoyed the extra touches of the spa being ready to use on check in, milk, bread, eggs and honey provided and the country hospitality of the host. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linen available and the speaker available to use was a great touch. Will be recommending to anyone for future stays in Maldon!
Perfect Getaway
We had such relaxing weekend staying at this lovely place. It was warm and cozy at night with the fire place in the common area and electric blanket on all the beds. The kitchen and bathroom was well equipped with all the essential. We were provided with milk, bread, honey, tea, coffee, S+P and olive oil. The accommodation was a short drive from town center which is very convenient. Would definitely come back!

Australia Day Weekend Away
Had such a relaxing time away staying at ironbark Maldon. We were a group of 2 couples looking for a nice quiet time away and that is exactly what we got. The accommodation is just a short walk out of town. It is well furnished and is very comfortable. We were fortunate enough to get clear skies at night to get a wonderful view of the sky.
August weekend away
Spent 3 nights down in Maldon over the weekend at the Ironbark house. Property was very nice and peaceful with great views to relax or work quietly. Would recommend.
Easter
From Jamies recommendation, we stayed at ironbark over the Easter week end. Absolutely gorgeous house. Very modern and well equipped. Beautiful views from the picture windows and big expansive sliding doors. We were lucky to watch the rising of the full moon. It was just stunning. Peaceful bush surroundings. A Relaxing outdoor area. Melinda and Murray were very friendly and accomodating hosts welcoming us on arrival. Thank you for allowing us to stay and enjoy your beautiful property 😊
21st C design in 19th C town
Maldon is the perfect weekend escape destination from Melbourne - a 90 minute or so drive from the city transports you to the 19th century charms of this well preserved goldfields town. A stay at Ironbark ensures all 21st century mod cons with its sleek architectural and interior design. Picture windows and a wall of glass in the living area ensures the best views of the surrounding landscape even when relaxing on the couch. The house has everything you need for a getaway, whether two nights or longer. Quality beds and bedding makes for a great night’s sleep. The hosts and managing agents were easy to deal with and very helpful. Local intel was a bonus when exploring the local food scene which offers everything from a traditional baker and cafes to award winning scones and a French deli.

Doesn’t disappoint!
This place offered everything we were after. A wonderful new place in a secluded part of town with excellent scenic views of the bush surrounds. Only a short ten minute walk to town. We stayed for a week and were extremely comfortable. Kitchen and lounge area are well appointed and comfortable. Really enjoyed the morning views, with the big double doors open enjoying a coffee. Beds are very comfortable and wonderful new clean bathrooms facilities. Our kids really enjoyed being able to run around also and search for kangaroos at dusk! Murray is an excellent host, meeting us at arrival and showing us the ropes and ensuring we were comfortable. A really lovely touch. Do yourself a favor and book this place and enjoy a beautiful part of Central Victoria and lovely Maldon!
Weekend family reunion
Thank you Jaime for suggesting Ironbark .We we’re greeted by Murray and quick overview of property . We loved it very much . It’s a great building and every detail has been considered . The surrounding property had kangaroos appearing to say hi which delighted our 8 year old nephew . My adult children thought it was “ really cool” This will be a go to from now on . It’s perfect

Brand new home. Beautiful location with complete privacy and picture postcard views out every window. Came for a quiet romantic country escape and loved it. Maldon is sweet. Definitely coming back here.
