Sunday House is an ode to the most relaxing day of the week and a tip of the hat to this ex-Sunday School, which will soothe your soul the minute you step inside. This stylish 1865 architecturally converted Welsh Baptist church is slick, luxury holiday rental at its finest - right in the heart of Maldon’s historic township.
Heritage listed and meticulously renovated, there are wood-lined loft ceilings, black strapped beams and 3 metre high arched windows looking out over Maldon's stunning streetscapes. Within this magnificent leafy space, the living area has a 10 seater formal dining table, huge fireplace, large comfy lounge, smart TV, Sonos speaker system, pool table, games, office and library nook.
Sleeping 8, Sunday House has 3 queen bedrooms, 1 master king room and 2 bathrooms with large glass walk-in showers, hairdryers and organic Castile soap. Each of the bedrooms have been designed for absolute comfort and are complemented with contemporary art.
The well appointed chef’s kitchen, has every appliance needed to whip up a spectacular meal. Dine in the formal dining room or enjoy a more relaxed meal at the large sunny, rustic kitchen table. To further soak in the surrounds, simply open the double french doors to the large deck and sprawling entertainers yard.
Outside you can enjoy a shady dining space, gas BBQ, fireplace and large lawn. We LOVE dogs - so Sunday House is pet friendly, with secure fencing. Well behaved ‘Gooood boooys & giiiiirrllls’ only!
The owners, an artist and an ex-hotelier have spent years dreaming up this space. They have created a delicious feast for the eyes and mind, which is too good not to share. The house features a curated collection of art by renowned and up-and-coming Melbourne print-makers and artists.
There are multiple places to just ‘be’ at Sunday House - It's perfect for a getaway with friends or family, boutique occasions or a more structured retreat. With a decked out office and extensive library, you can also steal time and stay a little longer to write, work or create.

Fire wood supplies - Please Note our fire season ends from 01 NOV.
We follow all rules in summer from the local CFA.
The primary source of heating in this home is the split system. However, we appreciate that some of our guests might like the ambience of a real wood fire. To that end, we’ve organsied a fire pack should you wish to snuggle up.
The pack contains all the items you’d need for a two night stay and to cover materials and cleaning costs, can be purchased for just $25.00.
If you need more firewood, it can be purchased from the Maldon hardware shop in Main Street.

Perfect
this is a perfect mix of luxury and comfort - we had the most beautiful Christmas and New Years in this gorgeous , easy, generous country house. The village is literally on your doorstep but the house is private with plenty of options for sitting and reading/ eating / relaxing. Jamie was always fantastic to deal with. Can't wait to stay again

A Lovely Weekend
We recently stayed for a weekend at Sunday House with a group of friends & were extremely happy with our accommodation. Lots of space inside & out for us to relax with really comfortable furnishings & many thoughtful touches throughout the property, we particularly liked the sound system! Well equipped kitchen for meals or a short walk to the shops & cafes in town, we look forward to staying at Sunday House again.
A most enjoyable family vacation
We had a delightful break with my elderly parents and extended family at Sunday House. The kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed the beautiful dining area. We loved the pool table, the excellent library, and all the places both inside and outside for relaxing and conversation. The rooms and beds were comfortable. We look forward to coming to stay again!

Perfection
The Sunday House was divine, as a place to relax and enjoy each other’s company I could not have asked for more. My teenagers played pool and explored Maldon on the doorstep, we sat in the sun filled hall and read books, did fragments of work in the office book, examined all the reading options hoping for more time and the dogs “chatted” to the passersby and played on the large back lawn. An ideal getaway for 10 days, including Christmas lunch which I cooked using the well stocked utensils and the brilliant oven (which I want my own of now). The best. Thank you too Jamie for being a great manager.

Autumn Getaway
The Sunday House at amazing Maldon made a perfect getaway for 5 long term women friends (and their dogs) celebrating a special decade birthday. Four days of perfect autumn weather in this amazing venue made for a truly memorable occasion. The house is breathtaking. Every possible appliance and piece of equipment is provided and the décor and the artworks are stunning. Though we had much to explore in the district it was hard to leave the big sunny verandah looking over the garden. Off-street parking at your doorstep is another bonus. Thank you Maldon Getaways, you've done it again!

It's our 4th visit to Sunday House
Absolutely Perfect beautifully appointed kitcen with every gadget you would ever need. Spacious family room and entertainment areas to accomodate our big family and of course our puppies. Only a short walk into town for breakfast lunch or dinner or stay home and watch sunset on the back veranda. Jamie made our check in's and outs streamless with excellent communication, we cant recommend Sunday house enough
Birthday treat
What a beautiful home and garden Sunday House is. We went for some family time and had more family join us for a birthday lunch. We spent a lot of time just sitting in the back yard enjoying the lush greenery, eating, drinking and we loved it. Just so relaxing. Highly recommend.

Maldon Home
What a perfect weekend spent at Maldon House. Or as our group preferred, Maldon Home! The decor, the layout, the veranda, the garden - all combined to provide the perfect venue for a large family gathering. Every single person who called in raved about how beautiful it was. And the house itself was only topped by the welcoming and friendly check in/out process. Jamie could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, including having to retrieve something I had left behind. Every stage of the process was perfect. We will be recommending Maldon Getaways to everyone we know!
