Built with a thermal mass to the north, the sun shining on the concrete hallway keeps the house toasty on cold winter days. Pull the curtains back to allow the sun to warm the home during your stay. The eaves were designed to prevent the sun entering the house in summer and the thermal mass stays cool helping the internal temperature.

The view to the south overlooking Cairn Curran also includes a view over the third largest volcanic plain in the world. To the South West is Mt Franklin and to the South East is the Pyrenees. On a moonless night you will see the glow of city and large town lights. The Southern lights are Ballarat, The South West; Melbourne, The West; Castlemaine and to the South East; Maryborough.
